Mr. Valdes is a Partner at Jones, Hurley and Hand, P.A. He has focused his practice on the defense of Florida Workers' Compensation matters. In his distinguished career, he has handled all types of claims and litigation in this complex arena.

Mr. Valdes was born and raised in Miami, FL. He is a first generation born U.S. Citizen, his parents having fled from Cuba in the early 1960s. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Florida International University in 2001. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University in 2004. He sat for, and passed, the Florida Bar in that same year.

Personally, Mr. Valdes enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He also remains very close to his extended family in Miami. He is very proud of his Hispanic heritage, and embraces the work ethic instilled in him by his parents and several other role models in his life. They are living proof that the American Dream does exist, and through hard work and effort, you can achieve any goal you might set for yourself.
