Mr. Hernandez is a Partner in the Miami, Fl office.  He is an experienced, Worker's Compensation Board Certified defense attorney handling matters in South Florida on behalf of the firm. His wealth of experience in workers' compensation matters in this highly litigious part of the state is appreciated by all clients whom he has had the opportunity to represent.  In particular, he takes pride in always being abreast of the latest legal developments and applying them to cases whenever possible. He particularly enjoys sharing his knowledge of the law with members of the insurance industry, typically via speaking seminars or continuing education courses.  He is a Florida Department of Financial Services Licensed CEU Instructor, as well as a regular speaker for the prestigious CEU Institute. He has a great deal of experience and success representing clients in non traditional employment relationships including Professional Employer Organizations (PEO's), statutory employment issues in the construction industry and borrowed employees.  Mr. Hernandez serves as an on-call volunteer for the Certified Lawyers on Call (CLOC) program run by the Florida Bar. The premise of CLOC is to give legal aid organization staff attorneys pro bono  telephone consultation access to a Board Certified Lawyer when a legal expert's advice in a certification practice area is needed by a pro bono client.

In addition to traditional workers compensation matters, Mr. Hernandez also handles Federal Longshore and Harbors' Compensation, Defense Base Act and subrogation matters.

Outside of work, Mr. Hernandez loves spending time with his wonderful wife (even though she’s a Florida Gator), and his awesome daughter. After them, comes his next true love, pizza.

"Statute of Limitations"

Board certification is one of the highest recognitions a lawyer in Florida can receive. The very difficult testing and extensive background peer review to confirm professional conduct is such a high standard that just seven percent of our eligible membership has achieved this level of recognition.
